TechSmith Launches Game Site to Provide Players and Developers with State-of-the-Art Imaging Capabilities, Winning Strategies

Free Trial Software Available for High-Fidelity DirectX Screen Captures; Site to Offer Game Previews, Player Forums and 'How To' Secrets

East Lansing, Michigan, November 12, 2001 -- TechSmith Corp., the leading provider of screen capture technology for more than a decade, today launched the Web's first gaming site dedicated to providing game enthusiasts with state-of-the-art imaging capabilities. The site can be found at www.bestgameshots.com. Visitors will be able to download SnagIt software, the most advanced solution ever developed to capture DirectX images without significantly impacting game performance.

The unveiling of the site coincides with the introduction of SnagIt 6.0, the newest version of the industry's most popular screen-capture software with more then 3.5 million users worldwide. The DirectX capabilities in SnagIt make it ideal for capturing live-action images of nearly any game. In addition to free trial software, site visitors will find previews of upcoming games, winning strategies, themed forums for sharing screen shots, and 'how to' advice for many popular interactive games.
