SF-Systems incorporates TechSmith's award winning software for use in libraries

Ottawa, Canada, May 3, 2001 - SF-Systems announces the implementation of SnagIt text capturing technology in their Library Binding Preparation software BindPro Library.

Over the last decade there has been much discussion regarding the interface between Integrated Library Systems (ILS) software and library binding preparation software. BindPro Library, by SF-Systems, now gives libraries the power to capture data from their ILS software, ensuring accurate and highly efficient binding preparation.

Until now most libraries, when preparing publications for binding, have been retyping information already available in their library system. "Basically what we needed is to transfer relevant data from one application to the other without the interference of a third party," says Marco Smits from SF-Systems. "With the text capturing feature of SnagIt build into SF-Systems' BindPro Library, this can be done very easily. Besides avoiding typing errors, this will save a great deal of time."

Recognizing advances in software technology and the introduction of new bookbinding equipment, SF-Systems was formed in January 1999 combining years of experience in both bookbinding and software development. SF-Systems offers comprehensive software solutions for the bookbinding industry.
